NAACP to celebrate black history Sunday
The Middlesex NAACP will host its Black History Program at Lebanon Worship Center, Rt. 17 near Saluda, on Sunday, February 20, at 4 p.m. This event is free to the public. All are welcome. The MGM Choir will perform.

The public is invited to Urbanna Baptist Church on Saturday, February 19, at 7:30 p.m. to watch the movie of this great production. The audience will witness in great detail Noah’s 40-foot-high ark being built by a cast of 50 professional actors and experience hundreds of colorful animals.

The youth of Lower United Methodist Church at Hartfield will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 19, at the church. Take-outs begin at 4 p.m.; dining is from 5-7 p.m. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, French bread and dessert.

Calvary Baptist Church at Christchurch celebrated black history last Sunday with a presentation titled “First” African-Americans. Calvary also recognized the “first” African-Americans in Middlesex County.
