Fund raising continues for new Habitat house
imageThis week the “Sentinel Hammer” continues its work on fund raising for Habitat for Humanity (HFH) Middlesex Inc. HFH people like the sound of hammers; it means that pieces of wood are going together to be held by nails. The wood and nails can go into many shapes, but for HFH people the shape is to be a house, which a family turns into a home.

Grafton homecoming is Sunday
Grafton Baptist Church at Hartfield will celebrate its annual homecoming Sunday, August 9, at 11 a.m. Guests for this event will be Rev. Ronald Hall and the Saint John Christian Church of Suffolk. Rev. Hall will be accompanied by his male chorus and church family. Rev. Hall has the singing voice of “Sam Cooke,” and is a dynamic speaker.


Homecoming is Sunday at Mount Olive
The annual homecoming at First Mount Olive Baptist Church in Newtown will be this Sunday, August 9, at 11 a.m. Rev. Ulric Eley Jr. will deliver the message. He will be assisted by Rev. Drucilla Tate, who will be the worship leader and will conduct a baptism and the Holy Communion Service during the morning worship.


Revival begins Sunday at Lower K&Q Baptist
The morning worship service will begin at 11 a.m. with the message being delivered by Roger J. Roller. The revival services will be held at 8 p.m. each evening, Sunday through Wednesday, August 9-12.
