Women of Worth program Saturday at Make-A-Way
There will be praise and worship, praise dancing, singing and the spoken word, which will be presented by overseer Rose Jarvis of Gloucester, Elder Faith Brooks of Tappahannock, and Pastor Edna Ransom of Middlesex. Soloist Pricilla Johnson of Tappahannock and The Silver Leaf Singers of Gloucester will render the music.

Blessing of Animals due Sunday at Christ Church
“Saint Francis came to see the full beauty of God’s creation in his close relationship with animals. He saw mirrored in their unconditional love the love God has for us, for all his creatures, and for all his creation. In this Service of Blessing of Animals we celebrate that love,” said Father Paul Andersen, rector of Christ Church.


Bylaws approved; elections to be held
At the September board meeting, the board of directors of Hands Across Middlesex approved proposed revisions to the Hands bylaws that had been presented to board members in August. At the October meeting of the board, the nominating committee will present nominees for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Elections will be held at that meeting.


Baptist Women’s Chorale to perform at Hermitage
On Saturday, September 24, at 6 p.m., Hermitage Baptist Church will host the Virginia Baptist Women’s Chorale as it presents a concert titled “Our Testimony Of Faith Through Song.” In its 35th concert season, the chorale is composed of women that serve in a music leadership role in their churches.
