Chief Richardson to speak at New Freedom Worship Center
imageChief Anne became chief of the Rappahannock Nation in 1998 when she succeeded her father, Captain O. Nelson. She was the first woman to hold that position since early in the 18th century. As a child her Indian name was Princess Little Fawn. She grew up on Indian Neck in King and Queen County.

NAACP to celebrate black history Sunday
The Middlesex NAACP will host its Black History Program at Lebanon Worship Center, Rt. 17 near Saluda, on Sunday, February 20, at 4 p.m. This event is free to the public. All are welcome. The MGM Choir will perform.


‘Noah The Musical’ to air at Urbanna Baptist Saturday
The public is invited to Urbanna Baptist Church on Saturday, February 19, at 7:30 p.m. to watch the movie of this great production. The audience will witness in great detail Noah’s 40-foot-high ark being built by a cast of 50 professional actors and experience hundreds of colorful animals.


Spaghetti dinner due Saturday
The youth of Lower United Methodist Church at Hartfield will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 19, at the church. Take-outs begin at 4 p.m.; dining is from 5-7 p.m. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, French bread and dessert.
