In 1992 Hands Across Middlesex Interfaith Outreach Inc. was created. In that same year, the Redskins won the Super Bowl; Tiger Woods at age 16 became the youngest PGA golfer in 35 years; Bosnia became a nation; white South Africans voted to end apartheid; and Bill Clinton was elected president. A lot has changed in 20 years.

The Joy Club of Harmony Grove Baptist Church will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 8, at noon in the fellowship hall. The group will finalize plans for its trip to The Billy Graham Center in North Carolina in April. Also, for those who signed up to go and see “Always Patsy Cline” on March 31, ticket money is due

On Sunday, March 4, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR), Thea Marshall and Eva Abel will present a program titled “An Examination of Bumble-Ardy.” Abel and Marshall will explore the “who, what and why” of the children’s book “Bumble-Ardy” by Maurice Sendak.

The Volunteer Council of Historic Christ Church met recently to plan their annual Volunteer Opportunity Fair, which will be held Wednesday, February 29, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church in Irvington.
