Saluda Baptist to hold special Sunday school events
The Sunday school program at Saluda Baptist Church will include two special events during the month of June. From 9:45 to 10 a.m. there will be fellowship, and then a special study of Psalms for all adults from 10 to 10:45 a.m. The study will be taught by church pastor Rev. Jerry Haywood.

‘Celebration Sunday’ planned at Hermitage
Hermitage Baptist Church at Church View will conduct a “Celebration Sunday” on June 10. In the midst of a recession and difficult times for most churches, Hermitage has experienced continued growth over the past four years.


Non-formal services begin Saturday at Clarksbury
Beginning on Saturday, June 2, Clarksbury United Methodist Church at Hardyville will hold its first Saturday evening worship service. This will be a completely informal time of gathering and singing followed with some light refreshments, and will be more along the lines of a contemporary worship experience.


Food bank director to speak Sunday
“The good intentions of those who decide to serve their community often end up being the very reason they fail at it,” said Barton. “The most common mistake we make is that at some point we decide we know the people we are serving, making it almost impossible to learn what their real needs are.”
