NAACP Black History Program set for Feb. 23
The Middlesex Chapter of the NAACP will hold its annual Black History Program at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, at Antioch Baptist Church in Saluda. The theme of the program is “Now is the Acceptable Time.”

Baptist Men’s Day will be celebrated this Sunday, January 27, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church at the 11 a.m. service. Dabney Miller and Donald Batley will be the speakers, Marcus Vaughan will lead the hymns, and The Men’s Chorus will perform. All are invited.

On Sunday, January 27, Jim Sanderson will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR). His topic will be “The Dickens You Say” and his talk will take a look at the life of this English Unitarian author whose 201st birthday is February 7.

A new informational bulletin board has been placed in the public lobby at the Middlesex Department of Social Services office in the Cooks Corner Office Complex. The purpose of the bulletin board is to connect community employers with potential local employees.
