Habitat for Humanity continues to make progress
Construction on the current Middlesex Habitat for Humanity (HFH) house continues to make progress. Board members Ed Fisher, Warren Haden, and Lee Roberts, and Lee’s son Chris and Lee IV, along with future homeowner John Dandy, framed the interior walls and did other preparation for the roof installation.
08.19.2010St. Paul to celebrate homecoming, hold revival
St. Paul Baptist Church at Church View will celebrate homecoming and revival services on Sunday, August 22. Rev. Kenneth G. Dunn will deliver the message at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served and the evening service will be delivered by Rev. T.W. Morris of Shiloh Baptist Church in Burgess at 3 p.m.

Homecoming at Zion Branch Baptist Church, Saluda will be held Sunday, August 22, at 11:30 a.m. The morning message will be by Pastor William H. Seldon. Lunch will be served. The afternoon service will be at 3 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Rioland and the Macedonia Baptist Church family of Heathsville will be the guests.
08.19.2010Hands Across Middlesex: Cryer Center yard sales
The monthly yard sales at The Cryer Center have been so successful that folks have been lined up at the doors before the time initially set for opening. So, the yard sales will now start at 7 a.m. and end around 11 a.m. depending upon the amount of interest from the public at that time.
