Foster homes needed
JoAnn Wilson-Harfst, director of social services in Middlesex and Mathews counties, recently addressed members of the Middlesex Ministerial Association on the subject of foster care. She reported there are only four registered foster homes in Middlesex, and that the local foster care caseload is on the rise. 04.29.2009Foster parent training is availableThe Middlesex Department of Social Services is looking for good local homes for foster children. Foster care is the temporary substitute care of a child who has been placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services until that child can return to his or her family or be placed for adoption. 04.29.2009SRBA Division of Women plan annual conferenceThe Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association (SRBA) Division of Women will hold its 6th Annual Woman's Conference on May 2 at Zion Baptist Church at Cumnor in King and Queen County. 04.27.2009Urbanna Baptist Day Care to participate in Trike-A-ThonA St. Jude Trike-A-Thon event will gear up the week of April 27 at Urbanna Baptist Day Care Center.
