‘God’s Trombones’ to feature old-time African-American preaching and music

Ralston to lead UUFR service
On Sunday, May 11, Connie Ralston will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR). The title of her talk is “Find and Express Our Own Innate Rhythm.”


Pollard to speak at revival
Deacon Percy Pollard, chair of the deacon’s ministry of First Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Newtown, will be the speaker at a Saturday Night Revival at 7 p.m. on May 10 at Grace Episcopal Church, Route 684, Millers Tavern.


SRBA choir seeks new members
The Southside Rappahan-nock Baptist Association Choir has started its spring rehearsals leading to the “kickoff” concert for the July Annual Session. At the present time, new members are invited to join from the 36 member churches within Essex, King and Queen and Middlesex counties.
