Local actors and musicians needed for ‘God’s Trombones’
The Promise Academy, in association with Shiloh Baptist Church and James Pettis Productions, will present the Off-Broadway play “God’s Trombones,” on Saturday, May 10, at St. Clare Walker Middle School in Locust Hill. There will be two shows—at 1 and 4 p.m. Local actors and musicians are needed.

Faith Builders Baptist plans Women’s Day Celebration
His Lady Women’s Ministry of Faith Builders Baptist Church in Syringa will hold its Women’s Day Celebration on Sunday, March 23, at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be First Lady Shelia Pleasants of Calvary Baptist Church, Saluda.


Unitarians to discuss ‘extinction’
Terri Watson will speak on Sunday, March 23, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR). The title of her talk will be “The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth.”


Habitat open house is set for March 22
imageHabitat of Middlesex has completed its sixth home and will hold an open house and dedication ceremony on Saturday, March 22, from 1-4 p.m. The new house is at 260 Apache Drive in Deltaville and was built with the help and support of many, many volunteers and local businesses.
