Centenary sewage hook-up approved
After a public hearing Tuesday night, the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to authorize the county staff to find a way to allow the All Saints Anglican Church to hook the Centenary Methodist Church building to the county courthouse pump-and-haul sewage system.

Last Sunday Church of the Visitation called for a special collection to help with Haiti earthquake relief. A total of $2,604 was collected on January 17. “Once again the parishioners have shown how compassionate and caring they are for the needy,” said Church of the Visitation (COV) administrator Ray Kostesky.

The recent earthquake in Haiti is a reminder of how closely we are connected in our common efforts. Just as we have work in our own country, Habitat has been at work in Haiti for some 26 years providing housing adapted to that culture.

On Sunday, January 31, at 4 p.m. the musicians of Immanuel Baptist Church, Saluda, and “Brother Jerry Manning and Company,” will sponsor their second Gospel Sing-out. Groups participating include “The Echoes” of Gloucester County; Brother Brown on harmonica; Brother Lloyd Jones and the Grafton Male Chorus of Yorktown; and others.
