‘Break Free From Burdens’ rally this Saturday
The Middlesex Laypersons Association will sponsor a “Break Free From Burdens” rally at Freeshade Community Center at 794 Syringa Road in Topping on Saturday, February 12, from 4-8 p.m.

Gospel artist appears on ‘Bobby Jones Presents’
imageLaymetha Reed-Guy had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jones while accompanying Evangelist Dorothy Norwood on the “Keeping the Legacy Alive Tour—Remembering Albertina Walker,” in which the legendary “Caravans,” including Pastor Shirley Caesar, performed their kickoff concert in Chicago, Ill., on January 3, 2011.


Concert to feature ‘New York Polyphony’
Abingdon Episcopal Church on Route 17 at White Marsh in Gloucester County will host “New York Polyphony” in the sixth concert this season in the Arts at Abingdon Series. The concert will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, at the church. Admission is free but a free-will offering will be taken.


Habitat for Humanity surpasses 400,000-house worldwide milestone
Habitat for Humanity surpassed its 400,000 house milestone during its most recent fiscal year. Since the nonprofit organization was founded in 1976, its self-help, hand-up model has resulted in rehabbed, repaired or new housing for more than 2 million people worldwide.
