Harmony Grove to host free health fair
There will be screenings for glucose and cholesterol (fasting for better results), blood pressure, weight, body mass index (BMI), along with sight, hearing, and eye pressure tests by the Lions Club. “Remember, this is a free health fair with door prizes and everyone is invited to attend,” said a church spokesperson.

Habitat for Humanity fund drive continues
imageOn October 2 members of the Middlesex High School Key Club volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity (HFH) work site in Topping. The club members working the project were club president McKenna Millington and Lauren Donner and Ayman Abou Gendy.


Abingdon Church to host Colonial Virginia Dinner
imageOn Saturday, October 9, the Outreach Committee and the congregation of Abingdon Episcopal Church invite the public to attend a Colonial Virginia Dinner. Proceeds will be donated to the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic.


Former R&B singer to preach at Lebanon Sunday
Stacy Lattisaw is a former rhythm and blues singer who made her mark on the R&B charts with the hit album and song “Let Me Be Your Angel.” She left the R&B music scene in 1989. Since 1990, she has sung gospel music as a callback to her Christian roots.
