Disciple Bible Study offered at Lower UMC
In March 1986, a group of 18 people gathered in Flower Mound, Texas. They were committed to a dream of developing a Bible study for training Christian Disciples. Together, they shaped the dream into a vision of what became “Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study.”

Violinist to give concert at Abingdon Episcopal
Abingdon Episcopal Church in White Marsh will host Bulgarian violinist Bella Hristova at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at the church. The concert will mark the third this season in the Arts at Abingdon Series. A free-will offering will be taken.


Habitat for Humanity
imageThis past week M&W Construction company’s truck and trash trailer was once again seen at the construction site of the Habitat for Humanity (HFH) house that is being built. Donations may be mailed to HFH Middlesex, P.O. Box 492, Hartfield, VA 23071.


Unitarians to host ‘Soap Box Sunday’
On Sunday, January 22, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR,) Bob Weekly will moderate: “Soap Box Sunday.” This is an opportunity to share inspirations, passions and insights. Volunteers will have 3 to 4 minutes to speak on a subject of their choosing.
