UUMC to sell poinsettias, baked goods, boxed lunches Saturday
Urbanna United Methodist Church will hold its Baked Goods and Poinsettia Sale this Saturday, December 3, at 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. The Mary Martha Circle also will offer homemade box lunches of ham biscuits, deviled eggs, cole slaw, fruit and brownies for $7 as part of the Urbanna Christmas House Tour.

‘Morning with Santa’ is Saturday at Old Church
“A Morning with Santa” at Old Church United Methodist Church will be held Saturday, December 3, from 8-10:30 a.m. The public is invited to come have breakfast and hear the story of “Why We Have Christmas.” The first 50 families will receive a copy of the book.


LUMC annual stew sale set for Saturday
The Lower United Methodist Men will hold their annual Fall Brunswick Stew Sale on Saturday, December 3. This stew is slow cooked for six hours in cast-iron cauldrons using the “secret” recipe of the church’s world renown stewmaster, Rev. Jim “Great Time of Day!” Ritter.


Community Thanksgiving Dinner offered on Nov. 24
Six local churches will offer a Community Thanksgiving Dinner at no charge to all who may not have other plans on Thanksgiving day, November 24. The traditional turkey and ham dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kingston Parish House, 370 Main Street, Mathews Court House.
