Williams receives license to preach
Samuel Williams Jr. of San Bernardino, Calif., a 1976 graduate of Christchurch School, received his license to preach within the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church on May 18. Williams was awarded the license by the AME Los Angeles District Presiding Elder Norman D. Copeland at the St. Paul A.M.E. Church 2010 second quarterly conference.

As part of this Sunday’s 11 a.m. service, Urbanna Baptist Church will have a Memorial Service to honor the men and women of the country’s military and to honor those who have given their lives serving their country. Church Pastor Jimmy Maroney will officiate.

On Saturday, April 17, a group of 12 left Lower United Methodist Church to do mission work in Louisiana. Three of the group were from the Warsaw area, two from the Mathews area, and seven from Middlesex.
