Immanuel to celebrate family and friends Nov. 11
On Sunday, November 11, at 3 p.m., a Family and Friends Day celebration with an illumination ceremony will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Saluda. Rev. Frederick Young, pastor of Union Shiloh Baptist Church in Laneview, along with his choir, ushers and congregation, will be the guests.

Clarksbury Food Pantry distribution is Saturday
Clarksbury United Methodist Church on Route 33 in Hardyville will have their Fall Food Pantry distribution this Saturday, November 3, from 9-11 a.m. Food recipients are asked to enter the church through the front doors where they will be greeted.


Dr. Graves to address UUFR
On Sunday, November 4, Dr. Pirkko Graves will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR). Her subject will be “The Might of Word and Song.” The UUFR meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 366 James Wharf Road in White Stone. Coffee and conversation will follow the service. All are invited.


Handbell workshop and free concert is Saturday
On Saturday, October 27, Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury in Irvington will be ringing with the sounds of handbells as ringers from seven local churches gather for a workshop. Bell ringers from Bethel United Methodist, Kilmarnock United Methodist, Urbanna United Methodist, Harmony Grove Baptist, Kilmarnock Baptist, St. Andrews Presbyterian, and Bethany Baptist will perform under the direction of Larry Henning.
