Philippi Christian Church to begin book discussion group

Spring Hill Baptist plans special activities
The title of the sermon to be given by Dr. Chuck McDaniel at the 11 a.m. worship on Sunday, July 13, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mathews will be “Compassion of the King” (Matt. 9:27-38).


Unitarians to discuss ‘Scars, our Stories’
On Sunday, July 6, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR), Bob Weekley will present “Scars, Our Stories.” “Scars tell our stories, sometimes our very personal stories,” said Weekley. “Scars are symbols we carry—traces of hurts that have healed, of victories over injury.


St. Paul to honor family and friends
St. Paul Baptist Church in Jamaica will celebrate Family and Friends Day on Sunday, July 13. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m. Church pastor Rev. Kenneth G. Dunn will deliver the morning message.
