Woman jumps from Norris bridge, dies on scene
The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 6:49 p.m. Monday that a woman jumped off the Robert O.Norris Bridge into the Rappahannock River. About 45 minutes later, the woman’s body was brought by boat to a private dock on the Middlesex side at Topping, just east of the bridge. Attempts to resuscitate the woman were unsuccessful.
The Norris Bridge connects the counties of Lancaster and Middlesex.
