SUV overturns at Locust Hill

image
This SUV ran off the right side of eastbound Route 33 and overturned on Tuesday, May 26, about 6 p.m., said Virginia State Trooper S.T. Smith. The Urbanna rescue squad transported the driver, Rebecca Williams of New Kent County, to an area hospital to be checked.

Williams was conscious and sitting up at the scene. Her young daughter who was a passenger in the vehicle was not injured, said Trooper Smith. Williams was not wearing a seat belt and an under-inflated tire may have contributed to the crash, said Trooper Smith. It occurred near Quarles Shell at Locust Hill.  (Photo by Tom Chillemi)
