Storm damage reported in Deltaville and Gloucester

The Sentinel has received reports of tornado damage to several buildings in Deltaville and Gloucester due to a storm system that passed through the area this evening.
Deltaville Market is staying open for EMS staff and residents who cant get to their homes due to inaccessible roads. Traveling east into Deltaville after this point is not possible at this time.
Residents on Fishing Bay road report no power, trees down, road blockage and structure damage.

Eric J. Vaudt commented on a Sentinel.com Facebook post: “The facade (of Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville) is standing as is the back wall. The entire center section of the sanctuary is gone, and the steeple is laying in the front yard. The education wing seems to be intact as is the parsonage.”
Heavy damage has also been reported at Page Middle School in Gloucester.

Fire and EMS have been going door to door in Deltaville checking on residents.

Rt. 33 traffic is now able to make it through to the Deltaville 7-11 now. Confirmation of at least one house at least partially if not totally destroyed. More damage reported at the Deltaville pool and down Timberneck Road.
