The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has agreed to use $670,000 in federal stimulus money to fund the dredging of Broad Creek in Deltaville, said Middlesex County Administrator Charles Culley yesterday.
An email to Culley’s office from Corps representative Douglas H. Stamper states that the Corps is working with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) on the final dredging permit. Stamper also said the bidding process to secure a contract for the dredging will start soon.
