Chargers vs King William Wed. in Region A tourney
The Middlesex High boys basketball team will host King William at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, in the opening round of the Region A Division 2 Tournament in the John S. Clements Memorial Gym at Saluda.
Middlesex, the regular season champion of the Tidewater District, is seeded third in the six-team regional and King William is seeded sixth.
If the Chargers win Wednesday, they will play at second-seeded Arcadia on the Eastern Shore at 7 p.m. Friday, February 26, in the tourney semifinals.
The championship game will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 27, at Lancaster High School.
In the other regional tournament opening game, fourth-seeded Essex will host fifth-seeded Nandua. The winner of this game will meet top-seeded Lancaster in the semifinals Friday night.
